The Kiskadee

In the Natural World
The colors of light hiding
in the clouds,
Reach the kiskadee’s chest -
this one reflects green.
The kiskadee, a bird from
South of the deep border,
breathes free
against a backdrop
of white cloud puffs,
perches proud on a broken
limb,
and sings.
